And I just noticed that it can now import new Blogger posts! I just love WP and Google all the same! <3

Notice how I hadn't posted in two weeks? Yeah, I got a little busy with novalistTag and other school matters. Yes, I always mention novalistTag. That's because I'm its owner and I have to take full responsibility in administrating and running the project! That's when people begin to come to use it ;)

Truth be told, I've been posting the past few articles from only today and yesterday. Yeah, that's right: same reason as above.

I'm going to import the posts from both NovaBlog! and BoltChronicles to BoltPress, then I'll start to sort everything out, pronto.

Remember, BoltPress is also blog.NOVALISTIC, the official NOVALISTIC blog!

Goodbye, Blogger. That was the best and most scientific day I've ever had.

I went to TP for the eNovation program. There were a few science workshops for me and my folks to attend, but we could only choose one. There was even Flash MX 2004, but from the title you know it's old, and I have four years of Flash experience (but almost none with ActionScript, lol). I went for electronics. Sounded the most interesting of all the courses.

Anyway, I couldn't believe the following:

Jane came along but went for some math workshop.

I was the only one doing electronics.

Yes, really sucks. But I can't change anything now can I? Right. So I went to the lecture theater as directed by a bunch of alumni. I was the first there. No other secondary student was there. Until...

I saw a battalion of Ngee Ann students practically flock into the lecture theater! There were tons of them! Like forty or fifty. So many of them, seriously. It seemed as if they'd dominated the theater.

OK, enough of those guys. The introduction wasn't really enlightening though the videos were nastily fascinating.

Then I was led to some laboratory. Holy crap, full of electronics and stuff like that! This must've been the place where I was supposed to be for the workshop whachamacallit! I remained the only student in the lab for fifteen minutes or so. I spent the time sketching a mind map of some of novalistTag's workings 'cause I got a little bored.

Then five other kids from some other school came in.

Wow, only six of us attending the workshop? That sucked. But nonetheless it was great as a whole. I fought my fear of the soldering iron (yes, I was once terribly afraid of it because of heat) by learning how to use it with care, and soon I was assembling my own audio amplifier. Doesn't really seem like a masterpiece, but at least I get to take it home! :) No, I'm not taking any pictures of it. I'll just have you know that it works anyway.

Today was great. Though I'd missed CCA to get here, it was pretty much worth it I guess :D I'll see you.

MT Listening Comprehension? But that was all. But I still love Weird Al. Guy's so awesome and funny.

If I get an A for Biology, I'll flip! No, it's not that I'm not confident, but I'm rather clueless.

Well, I don't have anymore Mid-Year examinations to sit for, so that means two more weeks of freedom before our school vacation. Which reminds me, I think many of my friends would be flying elsewhere. And that means I'll be very, very, lonely. Unless I can really sink into the deep world of cyberspace.

Well, we'll see what happens by the end of May :)

I returned my AJAX and PHP/Flash book, renewing my loan for my CVS book and then borrowing How to Break Web Software by Mike Andrews and James A. Whittaker. Mr. Whittaker is a well-known guy and I think I've heard of Mr. Andrews... somewhere. I forgot where. Anyway, to all the sillies: although this book does teach some hacking techniques, it doesn't aim to train hackers and ruin the Web but also teaches us how not to develop Web applications. I believe I'll be able to pass this one. I'm not feeling as confident for Paper 2 though. It's E-Math today, and I can't believe I brought my A-Math book instead to school for revision. Argh.

Everyone was telling me that it's E-Math Paper 1. Wow, two examinations for two parts of Math. That's four papers or a total of eight hours! Or nine or ten, if half-hours count in too :/

Oh and, at about five in the wake or so I had this really nasty tummyache that stormed me for an hour. It subsided and started poking me again during the exam. That's a total of over half an hour wasted trying to get the pain off my chest. I hope I'll be able to pass. And I certainly hope it'll subside for the rest of at least the month by tomorrow. Miss Lazaroo's advice worked wonders. I won't say what it is because you didn't feel the excruciating pain that I did.

Well, I guess I'll prepare for tomorrow's exam. Like Nicole, I tend to fall asleep. Especially when Mr. Goh was taking over the past week.

People say I'm intelligent and can pick things up fast. Well I sure hope I can pick Physics formulas up as quickly.

Q = mcΔθ
where Q = energy, m = mass, c = specific heat capacity, Δθ = change in temperature.

θ = [(X<sub>θ</sub> - X<sub>0</sub>)/(X<sub>100</sub> - X<sub>0</sub>)] * 100°C
where X = physical quantity.

And yeah, I didn't refer to any sources or lists to get the HTML entities of delta, theta and the degree symbol. I probably managed to remember them from way earlier on I guess :)

OK, now for MOS 2007. I just discovered that only five students passed the MS Excel test, and I came in second in the entire Singapore! Holy shit, this is getting so beautiful and tasty and stuff! <3 <3 <3

The guy who beat was indeed the guy who I heard scored 927/1000. Now I know, he's from Ahmad Ibrahim Secondary. Whatever school that is :/

Anyway I'm happy that I came in second. I qualify for the MOS 2007 National Finals. If I emerge champion of the Primary and Secondary category I'll be flown to Orlando, FL, for the Internationals! She's just adorable, seriously. We saw Iris along the way, but that's not really interesting to anyone.

Those cheeky kids at 3E1 wanted me to get my hair sprayed by them. I dunno what got them so inclined on it but I was considering it. Then they made a "deal" with me, that I'd have to do it if they sprayed Jane's hair. Well, they did. Yes, both of us. But with different color combinations. It'd be a little awkward if we both had the same hair color, they'd probably thought.

My hair was... insanely colorful, so to speak...

Anyway, I wanted to get a Polaroid shot today but had no idea who I'd take it with. I was thinking Jane but if she didn't want to be in a snapshot with me I'd let it fly.

Yeah, she didn't want to.

I did get myself a canned drink and probably some tidbits to fill a fraction of my tummy. But the best thing I spent money on was a Polaroid with Ummi, Pat, Pork, MZ, KY and KC, and oh I forgot to mention Mr. Goh the guy who'd be relieving my class while Mr. Ng was off for national service. Nope, no Jane. But whatever, all the $3 was paid by me. So I took the snapshot home.

As I was walking home I saw Mum. She was all, "that's my son but what's up with his hair?" Yeah, whatever. Son.

Dad took pictures of my hair as I requested because I wanted to remember this swell, swell day.

And that's my story.

Primary school kids

Oh, I mean primary school friends. But heck, no one gives a shit.

Except me. And my primary school friends.

I decided to follow Ariel and Zhiyong to TM for no real reason. They were heading there to browse for stuff to buy for Daniel Neo. I've heard of him but never talked to him. We don't know each other anyway.

I won't run us through what happened because that is not important.

Anyway, along we saw Corstiaan and Bryan. They were telling me that they saw Geraldine Neo so I decided to go over and IT'S HER!

I don't know whether to expect it or to be surprised at it but Geraldine said I didn't look at all different. Well neither did she but I was just glad I saw her again.

When I decided that I should be heading to the Library instead of hanging around, I went, and look who I saw along the way outta the mall! Ivy!

She was heading home via bus from the bus depot so I decided to, er, walk with her there. Note the word "with". I have no romantic relationship with her. We are friends from Primary One.

Anyway, just before we split up... WE SAW PRISCILLA! That's right: Priscilla! One of the CZ girls I've most wanted to see.

I... received a hug from her like on Teacher's Day '06. She sure loves giving hugs... you know, I think she should join the Free Hugs Campaign. Truly. She should. Free hugs are awesome and worth giving if you got the time for 'em.

After a little chatting (as I'd expected, she was all "don't tell me you and Ivy are...?!") she had to go. I asked for her number (silly me to not have asked before, I know :P) and she told me she'd give Ivy a call and have her tell me the number over IM. Fair enough. We bade goodbye and I was by myself again.

Wait, I forgot 2 and 3, heh. But they weren't around back when I was in primary school. Sucks.

Off to the library to pick up a couple new books. I got Foundation PHP for Flash and Open Source Development with CVS. Yes, I'll always get computer books and nothing else from libraries.

OK done.

Microsoft Office Specialist Competition 2007...

... was a success, at least for us at TPSS!

I got permission from Mr. Toh and Mr. Hafiz to leave the Assembly session slightly early, then grabbed the class keys and reported to Miss Hanis and Yuwen. I couldn't find Benjamin Oh or Ying Jie back then.

But I rushed back to class to get my bag and head for a quick drink at the canteen. I saw Benjamin and he was having a quick meal too. After my drink I reported to the foyer.

First I was told that transport would be provided. Turns out we're actually taking the train to NYP.

We decided to walk over to the train station to catch one of those rush-hour babies. I wasn't nervous one bit.

I spent the two train rides talking to Miss Neo and just Miss Neo about my life since Jane didn't tag along. It was only during the second ride when I began having that butterflies-in-my-tummy feeling. Ouch. But we got there in time. I should've invited Yuna along, but pity oh pity I couldn't.

Once we got there everyone's first impression was "HUGE", "majestic", "cool" and such. After all those feelings and comments of sheer awe we decided to have a little meal to get ourselves hyped up for the test, so off to the canteen we went but I didn't eat.

After lunch we located our respective lecture waiting rooms. And I had to wait. Three boring hours. For my turn to take a whirl at Excel. But the three hours were "de-bore-lized" by just reading Apress' Pro PHP Security by Chris Snyder and Michael Southwell (which is quite awesome by the way) and drawing a bunch of notable computer terms and their icons.

Miss Neo and I were the only ones waiting. When we had to, of everything we could do while bored, look for Miss Hanis and Yuwen, Miss Neo led me along. I had to admit, I was a little shy walking along so many polytechnic students, heh. It took us a long TEN minutes before finding them. And guess where next? The Shopping Arcade corner. It has so few shops it blows. I shall say nothing about that.

By half past three we had to go look for Benjamin and co. And just mere minutes after our little casual discussion (from which I learned that Ben scored 941/1000 for Word! WHAT WHAT)... it was MY TURN!

Everyone followed Miss Hanis and me to the testing site. Looking around... NYP's labs aren't as sweet as I thought. They even had Compaq desktops which should've fallen out by now, but I'm glad I didn't have to take the Excel test in any of the labs with those things.

Me? I was filled with nervousness and JUST THAT. What made things amusing though, was the fact that over 70% of all Excel candidates were students from some Methodist Girls' School. Yes, GIRLS!

Almost everywhere I went I took a shot at Pro PHP Security, the only book I brought along to read and break ice with. Aaaaand soon it was time for the test. This time, I was really confronted by fright. The fact that I hadn't used Excel for over six years (not counting my recent exercises for the test) didn't set me back though. I was confident that I could still remember many of Excel's functions. I just regret not reading Excel's documentation. That's if they ever wrote one.

When I looked at the actual test I was flattered by the fact that Nanyang Polytechnic truly supports Open Source because I saw a desktop shortcut on every PC to Mozilla Firefox! I love you NYP!

Anyway, we got started by first being instructed to start the exam application. The instructor told us to click rapidly – and I mean RAPIDLY – on the desktop icon to launch the application. I decided not to strain my fingers before the actual test so I single-clicked the icon and lay one finger rest on <kbd>RETURN</kbd>. Most amusing thing I've ever done in a computer test ever.

I almost caused a Denial of Service when the computer froze for a couple sporadic moments and pop-up dialogs suddenly started opening. When the first Application Login Screen window opened I let go of <kbd>RETURN</kbd>. I tried to close the pop-ups but they kept coming so I called the instructor for help. Some others saw this amusing scene and came over to take a look... it was just so entertaining watching the windows keep coming and getting closed!

Finally the windows were kept under control. I'd requested to run Task Manager to control the swarm of pop-ups, but by the time I did it the windows had stopped coming.

And so we got started on the test. The test... was surprisingly easy except for one question, which I skipped, then figured out after being brought back to it after finishing the rest.

My score: 893/1000

Totally wicked! I was so full of myself. Instant Diamond Mood too.

We went for a few snapshots by one of the carp ponds. While at it I sent text messages to a few of my friends and called Dad about my score. Then we went to McDonald's and had dinner there before leaving in glee.

After our dinner we left NYP. I wonder when I'll get to go there again...

Well, that's it. One of the most fun secondary school CCA days ever.

No I'm still not convinced to be a fan of Microsoft. Sure I'll cut down on those dollar signs but that's the only thing I'll easily do. I still love Windows XP, the invention of the MSN Messenger protocol and the Microsoft Xbox.

Farewell party for Yuwen

Today we say goodbye to Yuwen by means of a farewell party.

I now know what a party is roughly like.

Yes you would believe that I haven't been to a party before. That's because I'm a nerd and I think from even this blog you could tell.

That aside. So anyway, we played a couple old-school party games like Musical Chairs, had cake, lots of snacks as per any other party, group photos taken, and of course fun.

Well, Yuwen is leaving to get ready for her first year in polytechnic. Temasek Polytechnic. She's studying engineering I believe. Ah. I have no idea.

Tomorrow I'll be heading over to Nanyang Polytechnic for the Microsoft Office Specialist competition. Whether or not I've told you yet, I'll say here that I'm going for Microsoft Excel since Dad has over two or three decades of experience with that. Dad is old. But you need not care how old.

It's pretty much a pity that Jane isn't partaking. But I wouldn't wanna force her to join and end up adding to her stress. Being an ordinary student is hard enough. Being a student leader and a student councilor would be harder. I can imagine.

Ryan's mum drove me home again today, heh. Remember the other time I mentioned that Ryan's parents offered to take me home after the Mass Run? Yeah, that ;)

All in all, today was rather fun, except for a couple not-so-trivial bad happenings which I shall not mention. I wanna keep in Diamond Mood.

Good luck to me tomorrow <3

Friday the 13th!

And today was probably one of the unluckiest in my life. Yes I'm triskaidekaphobic/paraskavedekatriaphobic. Here's a definition:

triskaidekaphobia

Fear of the number 13.

paraskavedekatriaphobia/friggatriskaidekaphobia

Fear of Friday the 13th. I prefer the former, it sounds cooler.

Oh, and THAT is the first time in years I've used the <dl><dt><dd> definition list tag set.

But first, let me announce something wonderful to cheer me up that tiny bit (every one counts!)...

I have now hit 1 million Neopoints after seven years, five of which weren't spent earning NP, or doing much of anything for that matter.

In case you didn't know, I play Neopets as winner843. And yes, Neopets is where that username originated from, way back in 2002 when I ran outta ideas for names.

Anyway, it's time to summarize each bad thing that happened in chronological order:

I nearly stepped on a roach on my way to school

I nearly fell on board the 39 to school

I was chased out of Chemistry class yesterday for an hour for having not done my homework; I was chased out of Math class today for an hour for having not done my homework

Because half the class didn't do some other piece of Math homework, my recess time was choked by 15 minutes before Mdm. Shareena decided to let me go for having done my work – not to be confused with the above

My mind fogged itself every time I'd wanted to do my work, preventing or making it difficult for me doing it

Just my luck that Miss Lazaroo picked me for today's English Book Talk; I got 0 because I didn't bring a book

Student Councilors took over Lab C, leaving me with an hour and a half with nothing to do, unable to go home due to the rain

My left temple hurt all the way during today's A-Math retest

I was the last of everyone to finish the retest

I nearly got run down a while after leaving by the school gate

I didn't realize I was walking in the rain on my way home until 2 pulled me in the nearest building when he felt hard drops

It's getting eerie. Very eerie. I'm glad I'm safe though. Also, the only good thing that happened today was that just as I reached the bus stop from which I get on a bus bound home, a 34 arrived. And I'm not gonna make any effort to expand upon what I've only summarized. I'm too tired to.

Between June and July 2007, I'm moving to a WordPress blog which will be hosted on my site as BoltPress. URL to be confirmed, but it brings NovaBlog! and BoltChronicles back together. I'll be keeping NovaBlog! and BoltChronicles:

Because I love Google

To prevent sploggers from using my name anymore

As a form of post backup prior to the above mentioned dates

To let my readers know that I'm still blogging but I'll be putting up a final post saying I've moved to WordPress

But I'll still try to get myself familiar with the new Blogger's XML and make a layout at least for BoltChronicles

Aaaaand that's about it I guess. I'm not abandoning Blogger; remember I'm a Google fanboy.

So I got a new cellphone today...

... and I didn't request any.

It's like, Dad suddenly tells me he's going to get me a new cellphone because my current – no that's "past" – is old, gets its battery drained by phone calls at drastically different rates (it once got wiped out from full to empty by a 30-second phone call), and is terribly soft.

Well there you have it, very valid reasons why my cellphone ought to be changed. Dad used to be a Nokia fanboy, so he's gotten me *yet* another Nokia phone. This time a 2610.

I have never cared how insanely-featured a cellphone or MP3 player would be, I only wanted one that would be functional for at least what it was invented for. Hell, I remembered that Siew Chen commended me, on the day we met this year, for respecting a phone for what it's used for.

The feature that I love most about my new phone is that it's got a WAP/WML/XHTML browser. Hot. And. Sexy. But I won't be using it anyway.

Thanks Dad!

Google disappointed me because I couldn't find a blue Nokia 2610 image, so I'll put up a black one instead.

I have finally gotten a chance to express myself...

... to Jane, Yuwen and Miss Neo. I wish Miss Lazaroo were there, but oh well she was busy then.

Let's sum it up.

First half of CCA
The first half of CCA went well I admit. Then my mood, for some reason, dropped rapidly when I was doing my work. I dunno how the hell it happened. And then before I knew it, I had stormed off Lab C and headed somewhere. But where?

How'd I get here?
Next thing I realize I'm standing outside the General Office. I was in a major daze at first (no I didn't blank out). Then Miss Neo came along and I started to regain my mind. Despite cooling down I still couldn't figure out all of what I did or was going on. I only remember storming off the class and heading somewhere. For what reason I don't know and am not sure if I should find out. Maybe not. Even if I had something to rush to do I'd tell Yuwen about it. And if I wanted to take a walk to let it out I would inform her too. Now this is just mysterious.

Back in the Computer Lab
You might notice I haven't said anything about what's going on with my mind. Well I don't have to tell you.

When I got back to Lab C I didn't do much. Then it was time to be dismissed. Then questions and worries, like many a time, started barging into my mind and I'm like, oh shit not those again. I dunno what Ying Jie said that provoked me, but I do remember that I had to blow up by screaming and ramming the wall. But I did feel slightly better after that.

After CCA
Miss Neo, Miss Hanis, Yuwen, Ying Jie, Jun Xian and Jane walked me down to the ground floor and that's how I got better gradually. But I was still in a daze and my mind was constantly being plugged. Then Miss Neo suggested taking me into the Staff Lounge to have a word. Great chance, so I asked Jane along and she obliged.

And that was when I began talking about what went up with my mind. No, what has been going up with my mind. I have finally gotten a chance to express myself. I feel much, much better now, and I think I'll be so for the next couple days.

Yes, yes, thanks.

Had some fun today

Today was 2007's class photo-taking session. And I tell you, it's the best ever. For me.

Miss Lazaroo.

I'm less camera shy now.

Yeah, two pretty obvious reasons. Right now I'm looking forward to getting the photos. I'm gonna order all of them :)

Today is also the day I first accept Miss Neo to talk to about my life. And so, thus far I have:

Miss Lazaroo

Miss (Felicia) Lee

Miss (Myra) Ho

Mr. Suhairi

Miss Neo

And of course Jane, to whom I can refer if I'd like a listening ear in school. I feel better about myself. Yet, when it comes to work I get bogged down pretty quickly. And then, as I've reiterated over the past few posts, my social life has been contributing as my woes too. Teenage sure is hard. But I'm happy to have teachers and a friend who care. I just need more peers.

Done with that. Anyway today was pretty awesome. Also, Physics remedial was canceled today.

Mmmkbye.

I finally got my ass shifted for the Mass Run

And traversed all 4.3 kilometers of Bedok Reservoir. For the last two years I've never run around that pool of water. Seriously.

When I was running in such a direction that the Sun was at a visible angle from my sight, I thought of improvising. And so I spent about 1/5 of the run backwards. No I didn't fall :)

The Sapphire House pwned the Upper Secondary Boys race, having about seven of us clinch awards. That's pretty swell. And it's no wonder blue is my fourth favorite color instead of black. Yeah, I love green, then silver, then orange, then blue, then purple. Hey, let me try placing five <div>'s, one of each color, side by side like so:

1

2

3

4

5

Now that I'm done with that, I think it's pretty :O Now to try a table and see how that would look.

1

2

3

4

5

So, anyway, when I was getting ready to go home, Ryan's parents offered to drive me home! T'was a glorious moment right there. I feel so full of myself, really :D

Jane got 2nd and I'm proud of her indeed! <3

Today's Biology experiment was quite a success for me. I finished the procedure within five minutes! It was only a few food tests, so there you go. I've never finished an experiment that quickly. I guess I am starting to enjoy biology! But never will I be interested in entomology — that's grotesquely gruesome, ugh.

The only pity I've had today is that I gotta give up the latest PHP book that I got myself from the library. I shan't elaborate srsly

I'm mostly in an awesome mood today. So awesome I don't feel like blogging much about today! Yeah I know that sounds weird but that's the way I am :)

My poster's at Dhoby Ghaut

Here's the whole story:

Over the past couple weeks, CCA tasked me and my folks to do posters related to healthy diet, the Food Pyramid, and such. Well I know that's a really old topic but I did it anyway, with half the effort I'd put in an actual Photoshop image. The posters were submissions from TPSS for some competition going on.

Due to legal reasons and to abide by competition regulations I shall not put up my poster right here, but once I'm allowed to or the entries get put up on THEIR site I shall hotlink it.

Well, no I'm just kidding. Hotlinking sucks. I don't want it to happen to my stuff so I'd rather not do it to others in the first place.

Do unto others what others would do unto you.

I think you see my point :)

Guess what? All entries by my school were shortlisted by the judges. Now that is truly swell.

So for the past few hours today I was all the way at Dhoby Ghaut with some of my CCA folks. Feeling full of myself. And proud of Jane too. And the others. My work... displayed in public! Now I realize what fame is like, but I'll remain a modest geek :)

Yuwen and Miss Hanis went there with us, and Miss Neo came along much later. Oh and I forgot to mention that Jane looks pretty today, like any other day :)

Yes we did have some photos taken there but under no circumstances am I going to put any of them up even once I get hold of them. So stop bugging me or you'll be sorry. I shall respect everyone's privacy but yours if you do anything that leaves a bad impression of you upon me.

Was a nice day today. First time ever that I go out with my secondary school folks, you got it.

Oh and by the way, I may be moving to WordPress soon but I'll continue maintaining my two blogs here. You see, I'm working on a surprise that may be hard to maintain in a Blogger blog. It's still a good job of Google disallowing uploads to Blog*Spot because I know that there's a handful of people out there who just can't ever be satisfied, and would very much like to ruin Blog*Spot by uploading malicious files. Now that sucks. Great restriction there Google! And before you mention file format filters, note that they can be spoofed so yeah.

Fusion Art Show at NYP today

Today I went to the Fusion Art Show at NYP (yes it was in the morning) having received an invitation a couple weeks ago from Yuna. This didn't just mean a chance to see her again, but also a chance to see designs by tertiary students.

And Oh My B were they insanely GREAT!

I didn't manage to snap any photographs simply because I didn't have a camera in the first place, but at least I can remember some works of art clearly in my mind. And no I'm not gonna infringe on anyone's copyright by redrawing them. Besides I don't have as much talent as they do; many of them were 3D renders which I don't do.

There were a couple webdev projects around, and they were swell. The students had learned PHP, MySQL, XHTML/CSS, JavaScript and other major web languages and stuff. I still have more than a year to decide whether to follow in my brothers' footsteps by (yes, both of them) aiming for Temasek Polytechnic to learn C# or to follow in Yuna's footsteps and head to Nanyang Polytechnic to further my PHP skills. Hmmm... besides, I'm sure if I head to TP I'd be grounded by a major surge of Micro$oft crap. Really, the only Micro$oft product I like is Windows. Other than that, meh. NYP seems a little more geared toward open-source with AMP.

Enough of that, I did enjoy myself at the exhibition anyways. I liked Yuna's display simply because it's Yuna's, lol. And if your reading this, sis, YOUR NOT AN AMATEUR! <3

And it's also the first time I step beyond Tampines, alone. I had to admit I got kinda frightened on the train :/

Yes I did take home the CD containing all I need to know about Fusion and a bit of crumbs about NYP itself. And come to think of it I think I really regret not having a camera :/

Oh and baby Mabel, I haven't forgotten you at all - happy 14th birthday! <3

Not a very swell Thursday either

All that happened earlier today was rather OK. Later, it was a mess about CCA. Click one of the links to go to that part of the day or just read the whole thing as a series...

Biology class bonanza

Math class madness

Chinese class I-dunno-what-C-word-to-use

Seating arrangement got changed

After school, dun dun dun...

At Tampines Mall

Roaming the mall(s) with Cally

On my way home

Biology class bonanza
Biology class was truly swell! I just love Practical Science classes. Almost anything (almost...) hands-on will turn me on immediately I tell you, especially when it comes to science and technology. I just can never wait to get my hands dirty and statically charged.

Math class madness
In Math class, Mdm. Shareena was clearly mad with us for our talkativeness... she even cursed us to fail our next and subsequent Additional Math tests! That's... nuts. Though you should've seen how a class I'm in usually drives my teachers mad at times... I really pity them most of the time, I tell you. I love my teachers! Though, it seems, Miss Lazaroo's pretty mad at me because I've been a relatively naughty boy (lol, Miss Ho called me naughty during Biology class today; she made me sound so adorable) who hasn't been handing in English assignments...

Chinese class I-dunno-what-C-word-to-use
I got back the results of a Chinese test I was sprung up with on February 7. That's... exactly three weeks back. And I got 4/50. And I'm proud that I actually did get a score greater than zero! Yeah, I aim too low for Chinese -_- But it's just inevitable; I suck so hard at it. And speaking of Chinese class, Mdm. Xiao Min calls me by my English name more than she does my Chinese. That... was unexpected. And she pronounces it much like Yuwen does. No, did you all seriously think I'd be stupid enough to type out my real name here?

Here's a reminder: I enable comment moderation queues, so if anyone attempts maliciously to leave my real name as a comment on my blog will be watched. Mischief continues, I b& you. And laugh at you for being such a fag. Call me blah blah, n00b-l0s3r, BoltClock or Bolty, thanks a lot.

Seating arrangement got changed
And yeah well basically everything else was OK. There's our SEETIGN ARRAY-NGMEND CHAEGN!!1!!ONEon!1!1e!!!!1 That's right, most of my classmates have just got shuffled about the class by English/Literature goddess Miss Lazaroo! <3 But the problem is: Ong Xun Nan got positioned right behind me and I'm sure as hell that guy won't be giving me a gud tiem -_-

Ah well, seeing that I'm almost immune to bullies now, I wouldn't really have a hard class year it seems XD

I'm in Titanium Mood though, now that people like Sean and Peng Shi are so close to me in terms of seating. Peng Shi's just to my direct LEFT, to be precise! Why such a great mood? I can make more new friends! Sean's like 2007's See Kok Wee without the bully part. But... Tri's pushed one column left and all the way to the back row...

:/ :/ :/

Ah well, and I forgot where Angelina got shuffled to, or whether she did get shuffled for the matter. I wasn't. I've been at the top right, with the teacher's table right in front of me and a window to my right, for one and a half years now. Very swell. Jun Jie's still one seat left and one seat down from me (hey, that reminds me of the del.icio.us logo in which only the top right and bottom left squares are colored) and he's quite an OK guy to be honest. I tend to ask him about class. He's good. So is Tri. But no boy I know thus far is as good as a girl and no girl in school has yet been as trustworthy as Hazel, Angelina, Ummi, and most importantly, Jane.

After school, dun dun dun...
OK, back to the topic of mood swings. So when I went down promptly from class in Titanium Mood, I see Yuwen. And guess what? She told me that today's CCA meeting was COMPULSORY, and I've had NO IDEA that it was! Falling to Copper Mood immediately and dropping steadily. I'm (attempting, hopefully succeeding) meeting Cally today (yes, Tuesday failed). What. The. Fzzghgtzt. And Mum's expecting me home ASAP, so there's no way I could stay for CCA for long. Then I figured, screw that, and when I saw Jane I told her that I wouldn't be attending today. Yes, I knew that Yuwen would mark me truant if I failed to supply a valid reason for nonattendance. But, I had no choice. Cally's waiting (when I reached TM, she sure was).

No, I was not playing truant primarily to go meet a friend.

Yes, I wanted to meet Cally.

But Mum gave me such a small limit of time because I didn't know until late yesterday that there was a meeting and I didn't know till after school today that it was com-fzhssgzhtgzt-pulsory.

At Tampines Mall
So I saw Benjamin Oh at TM and asked him about today's meeting. His response: Miss Hanis said it wasn't compulsory. And so I'm back in Titanium Mood. I was glad I wouldn't have to face dire consequences. I could tell Yuwen that Ben Oh told me that Miss Hanis said that the meeting that was supposed to be held on Thursday that is today was not compulsory.

Roaming the mall(s) with Cally
Cally and her friend were at McDonald's, but Cally's mum was there too. Earlier she'd told me via text message that her mum would be with her so I had to act like I didn't know her, instead of running up to her and saying hi all of a sudden.

When her mum left and she and her friend came and we saw each other, we got started moving. I wanted to lead them to Courts to check out Windows Vista, but alas they were busy drinking. A little while later, perhaps?

So we were running around. Cally's friend kept disappearing and we kept running around in circles, me "following obediently", over and over. It's pretty funny, and I'm sure as hell lucky no Tampinesian I know was spying on us *shifty eyes*

Once Cally, her friend and I were back together at TM I led them to Courts. After circling the notebook display whose shelf had Windows Vista (and Windows Live OneCare) boxes for sale a few times, Cally and her comrade went to look at the various cellphones and pocket PCs on display elsewhere in the IT area, while I tried Windows Vista Home Premium again on one of the notebooks. Oh, and I first thought one of the X360 front covers was an oversized Wiimote front cover.

Ah, so that magical fading-into-view that windows did in Vista was what Windows Vista Aero was. MSPaint only looked different and was slightly better-featured but it all comes down to the fact that MSPaint isn't some professional image editing program like Adobe Photoshop. Hell it doesn't even save images at an optimized file size. But Notepad is still as simple as ever :)

At about 3:15, Cally had to leave. Ah well.

On my way home
Remember I mentioned above that Ben Oh told me what Miss Hanis said about today's meeting? Ben was so fzggzghttzgt wrong -_-

When I got back to the lift lobby of my apartment, I gave Jane a call because I suddenly felt so bad about not attending the meeting today. She too said that it was compulsory! Falling again to (but not Copper) Bronze Mood level. And not exactly falling further. But after little Jane told me to let it fly and not happen again, and that I should work on the poster since I've got Adobe Photoshop (CS2, better than the school's version 7). Jane is the best! <3

And I've just finished writing this blog post.

Not a very swell Wednesday

Get ready for the longest blog post I'll ever have written thus far.

Ready?

OK GOE

So I talked back to Yuwen during CCA. Trivial.

So it was raining cats and dogs during and after CCA. Not so trivial.

So I chose to go with Miss Hanis to the bus interchange. My clothes (luckily, only clothes) were somewhat wet but I got there anyway. Major. Read on, mate.

So there was this... queue... waiting for a 291 to drop by to pick us up.

So I got in the queue and it looked like this:

,-----'
|
'-----.
And then the first 291 came. But it nonchalantly passed us. And it was empty. Empty! It drove to the parking lot to settle down.

So I waited further. When I looked back the queue was like this:

,-----'
|
'-----.
|
-----'
It was growing longer. That last horizontal row was actually beyond the 'mouth' of the queue. Whatever the mouth was.

Then another 291 arrived and passed us too! And it was NOT empty. It had like one or two passengers. It did not park. I got a little irritated.

A third 291 passed by. Again. PASSED BY. WITHOUT CARE. I dunno where the hell it headed to but I was sure as hell that it wasn't here to park.

Then I threw my middle finger at it. I was really frustrated at that time. How could these bus captains not spare a thought for us?! There were like > 50 people waiting along the queue which now looked like this:

                      ,-----'
|
'-----.
|
----------------------------'
I was even considering writing a letter of complaint to the Management but I let it fly this time.

SBS, if you see this message, I do not wish to offend any of you guys, but I'm just pointing out that your bus routines have gotta be fixed a little. There were > 50 people queuing for a 291 and the first three which passed by gave no shit about us. That was a total chronic waste of 15 minutes of my life. I don't expect it back, but I sure as hell have lost a great deal of trust in you guys. I will continue riding buses but I will be a bit skeptical. Also I have gotta consider the insane amount of 9s, 38s and 12s that stop by the bus drop where I go to to catch one of them to school in the morning.

And now, at home, I get oppressed by the bitch of my mum. You read that right: I call my own mother a bitch.

She's STILL giving excuses to stop me from visiting Angelina's church (but I don't think I've mentioned it here before). What's wrong? My entire family is made up of non-religious people.

And when my brothers heard of it, guess what?

THEY LAUGHED AT ME BECAUSE I WANTED TO BECOME CHRISTIAN!

What is wrong with finding God? I've always believed in him. I have never had any doubts about him. It isn't like God did something that aggravated Mum so much that she's trying every way to stop me from going to church. God made Man because he loved all of us and I am proud of that fact. Maybe Mum just hasn't had enough belief in God... and the next thing she'd probably say is that everyone I meet at church would be nasty. That's rubbish. She says I'm unable to change. Well, I believe that a link with God can. Almost everything she says about me going to church can pretty much be countered with God's wisdom. And yet, I've not yet experienced him. I want to, but some crazy woman here called Mum is preventing me from doing just that. Finding the one who made her give birth to me.

OK, enough of that. There's Fusion-NYP, some event at NYP that Yuna recently emailed me about. It's held on March 10 this year (Mabel's 14th birthday! <3) and I'd really love to go. But it's on a Saturday and NYP is very far from where I live. Besides, I wouldn't want Mum to assume that I'm heading to Angelina's church instead of NYP either.

I'm in a total dilemma, I'm telling you. School is giving me enough stress. Homework is like 2007's bully for me now. I guess I overestimated 2007 after all.

And I feel like a jinx. A jinx. Why a jinx? Why not a charm? Why not someone normal? Why not a computer enthusiast? Why not a student? Why not a Singaporean? Why not a creation of God? Why not... me? Why a jinx?

On some days when I'm happy, my friends (girls) tend to fall sick or get depressed real badly. They both happen on the same day and it's occurred a few times this year. If I'm receiving happiness at the stake of my friends, I don't want that happiness.

There's the Sports Day on the Second, and then my psychiatric appointment at the Health Promotion Board on the Ninth. I hope I can talk to Dr. Woo personally without Mum's interference. I want her to stay out. She's been irritating enough. If she learns about my major problems I'm gonna have to hear her ask me what's happened to me, like every ten minutes. Ten minutes!

Oh and yesterday I let Miss (Felicia) Lee in on this blog's URL. She's a teacher counselor now, and also since she's taught me since Semester 2, 2006, I trust her. She's a very nice teacher. Not to mention pretty too. Very pretty.

Enough of Miss Lee. There's also Jane for me to think of. Those rumors that I have a crush on Jane are turning me around, apparently. I wouldn't want to have to realize that that rumor would turn out to be a fact after all. No way. I'm not gonna depress Jane. She's beset enough by schoolwork and CCA. I can't stand seeing Jane more miserable than now. Besides, she's, in my eyes, my only true friend in the entire school.

Then I have myself to ponder. Why me? There's a buttload of dark secrets about me that none (or few) of you know. No, I'm not a pervert. I'm not like those sick insensitive losers out there. I'm way more mature than those nuts (pun lol).

Dark secrets like my deeper problems and more of my mental problems. What's up with me? What's with the Bermuda Triangle of my mind? It's hiding a lot of things from my mind and clouding them all up. With that in place, half my mind's largely obscured. And that leads me to ponder my forgetfulness starting this month. There's an unpublished post for February 7, 2007, the day I went mad, hit myself and ran away from CCA class because I kept thinking about my forgetfulness. Yup. But I'm not letting any of you in on it. Unless you speak to me in person. My teachers... may be allowed some info on it. Yeah. My teachers and almost no one else.

As mentioned above, I think I might've overestimated the year 2007 a little. I thought I could start anew, being in Upper Secondary level now. Alas, only my computer life has changed dramatically, it seems.

Maybe if I manage to find God... my life could be different. No, it WILL be different.

Mum doesn't understand me enough. But I bet no matter how much I tell her she still won't. I don't have that sense of trust in Mum that I have in Jane and, well you know who else.

Bolty, this is teenage. This is a time of major change in your life and attitude. Bolty, you will be a new, better you, but you will have to go through a major obstacle of hurt, loss and stress. Get on with what you wanna do, Bolty. You're fifteen right now. No, that's not right. Precisely to hours, that'll be fifteen years, two months, three weeks, six days and twenty-three hours. Close to midnight of March 1. OK, let's round that up to fifteen years and three months. Yeah. Anyway Bolty, you have four more years. When you're twenty, Bolty, you'll no longer be a teenager. You will be a young adult. Make this time now. Unlike what CATS said, you WILL have a chance to survive. Just make your time. And it isn't funny.

Wow, I just gave myself a handful of advice. It ain't working much but it's a start.

And now, that bitch called Mum is nagging me off the PC. That was one hell of a post. See you guys soon. Good night, and I hope 2007 would have that little spark of hope.

Oh, and I don't wanna screw you, Mum.

Well another 5-day hiatus from my blog I see

Let's recap the goings-on for the past few days...

It's Sunday today. Nothing that swell happened before the weekend.

Thursday
I was supposed to meet Cally on Thursday but she didn't turn up. Well she did but apparently she was elsewhere high up while I was searching the first and second floor in TM for her. She came down to the ground floor rather late (according to her later on in IM) but I didn't notice her so I left. Ah well, we'll meet again this Tuesday :)

Saturday (well... yesterday)
CCA CIP for I-don't-care-what. I didn't do much there. Not even play with the kids. Rather, I was fixing my eyes on the teachers and Jane and Yuwen. And the kids. But made no effort to interact. I didn't know what to do. I was dead confused.

I even blanked (not blacked) out during the bus trip. I got my senses back when we were in the place for a while. During our trip back to school, Jane sat behind me and boy was I happy. I had someone to talk to while on bus :)

Later at home I began calling Marianne my sister. Marianne is Yuna's secondary school friend and she was from RiViE too (note: was) so it was proper that we add each other's MSN contacts. And now I'm calling her my sister. That's swell.

Today
Oh and I didn't mention that we're probably gonna meet (along with Yuna, Xindi and Jaslynn) at TM. That's right: all of them won't mind coming all the way to TM just to meet me. Mum better let me go further than beyond Tampines some time later >:U Anyway we're probably gonna meet during the March vacation. That's if I've got school at least one of those days. I feel myself when going out after school for some reason. Yeah, I'm a geek indeed ;)

And today's a day away from the due date of the latest PHP book that I got myself from the library exactly three weeks ago. I'm probably gonna renew my loan so I can continue reading about PHP5 (I haven't had time for it frankly) and show it to Marianne and introduce her to PHP. For some reason, despite being open-source and free, PHP isn't making that cut in Singapore. A good amount of organizations and webmasters in Singapore are turning to ASP(.NET)... Micro$oft fanboys... though a good number of people here are certified MVPs (Microsoft Most Valued Professionals). That's swell. But I still don't really turn to Microsoft when it comes to web development. Except on a Windows system.

Wait, this isn't NovaBlog!, is it?

Dumbass tummyache caused me to drop outta today's CCA session

You got it, I lost the battle this time. It goes like this:

The school bell goes off to call recess an end. Some time later I experience pain on my ass and for some reason my belly starts filling itself with lots of air, and every few minutes I get this tendency to break wind. Now, I know it's really funny to you and often embarrassing to me but that's the way it is. Screw that (lol pun).

Slowly across the day, the pain climbs up to my abdominal, intestinal area. You know, that area just below the belly button. And my ass STILL hurt.

Before CCA, the pain worsened a little. I started to complain to Yuwen about it. She was at the General Office (she's there if neither in the Staff Room nor the Computer Lab) so I took a seat as suggested. The pain just wouldn't friggin' go away. Seriously.

And as we went up to the lab together, the pain just persisted. It really began driving me nuts right then.

I went to the loo to see if I could piss or crap a little. Apparently something's preventing me from doing either when I'm not home. The same goes for eating.

The pain while I was in Lab C began to act so strongly on my tummy that I slid off my chair writhing in pain. Then it hit my chest and on occasion I'd bloat all of a sudden and contract just as fast. What was that HCl in my tummy doing anyway?

At a little past three, I told myself I couldn't take it anymore, so I requested to Miss Hanis that I be released from CCA early.

And guess what? Mdm. Ho, Benjamine, Ying Jie, Yuwen were all telling me that there was blood on the right of my upper lip. THAT'S CRAZY! HOW'D IT START BLEEDING ANYWAY?! I nearly passed out on hearing Mdm. Ho say that some serious gastric attacks could lead to blood vomiting. Ying Jie told me that my lips were just too dry. NOW HOW DID THEY DRY UP SO QUICKLY?!

Ah, forget that. So, well, anyway, Ying Jie escorted me down to the canteen and I grabbed a packet o' Milo for a change. Mdm. Ho offered biscuits but I kindly turned them down; it was absolutely no time for biscuits.

After a bit of resting I made my way home. Yes, Mum had to babysit that kid and spared no thought for me. Couldn't she just bring him along to pick me up?! By going home on my own, I'd probably leave others wondering if I was just playing truant.

Hey, come to think of it I don't think they would. They've already seen my lips bleeding.

Yeah.

Well back to my story. So I made my way back home. It really hurt. But it got better after I shit at home and had lunch and medication.

And now I'm here.

By the way, I'll be changing all HTML in posts starting today to XHTML, since this was marked up in XML after all. Yes, Blogger does have its own XML API. But I dunno what backend programming language it uses nor do I care. I just love Google anyway. Go Google!

I'm really happy

Here's the three things that happened in summary (in chronological order):

There's an open house about nanotechnology and bioengineering. #

I solved a problem with my CSS two-column layout in school. #

I saw Siew Chen on my way home today. #

Click one of the hash/pound signs (#) or scroll down to look at each section.

There's an open house about nanotechnology and bioengineering.
Mr. Ng let us know about this open house exhibition about technical sciences. I was instantly turned on because I just love science. The problem is, it's on March 9, the day I have to skip school once to keep an appointment with Dr. Woo at HPB. I'll have to get Mum to change the date...

I hope I can get a chance to go there.

I solved a problem with my CSS two-column layout in school.
I wrote some CSS to produce a two-column layout in lieu with NOVALISTIC 3.0's design. It used to only work for Firefox 1.5 and 2, and Internet Explorer 7. IE < 7 and Opera 9 both had problems rendering the footer. IE < 7 completely hid the footer behind the columns whereas Opera 9 displayed only the footer text but hid the background behind the columns.

I got an idea in school earlier today and applied it. Now I'm home, and after testing it in other browsers, I made it! Right now I have to look for testers who use a Mac.

You can also see it in action at my *temporary* TPSS site. It'll be replaced with the website of my CCA though. As of this time of writing, the site's my product after running through a computer enrichment program.

I saw Siew Chen on my way home today.
Awesome. It's been a fair two years. I saw her at the exact same bus stop (the one at which I drop when I get home) where I did back then! She was behind me (I didn't realize it at first) at the foot of the overhead bridge, then I heard a familiar voice calling out my name. I turned back and she asked me if I recognized her. HOLY CRAP, it's Siew Chen! One of my good friends way back in primary school! I said yes and she was this shocked that I remembered her! I was the one who transformed a LOT after two years -_-

So we walked together and started chatting. I wanted a seat so she followed me to the 302 void deck and we took a seat somewhere and started yakking about our lives.

I found out tons more about her, and I was really touched when she said that I'm one of her close friends :) I didn't realize she'd say that. I was thinking she'd consider me a normal, casual friend. We talked from a little past 6 to almost 8, and chatted about almost everything. I even let her in on some of my life problems, secrets, and of course 2 and 3. It was an awesome conversation.

I believe God was the one who answered my thoughts, because earlier this year I've been thinking of Siew Chen, and then I saw her today!

Speaking of which, I'm thinking of becoming Christian. I've always believed in God but I've never yet felt his touch... Mum's oppressing me now, passing excuses day by day... sigh.

Happy Valentine's Day!

<3

A surprise will be popping up in a couple days! That sucks. It's a complete invasion of my privacy.

Now that that call's come home, Mum's been asking me every half an hour what's going on with me in school that she didn't know.

I don't trust her as much as I do Jane nor my teachers. So what if she's my mum? So what if I was let out via her asshole? I've got such a bad impression of her through her nagging (which I know all mums do because they care but this is unreasonable) and cursing. Hell, I even believe my mental problem was inherited from her own mind. She takes her anger out on people as much as I do, so you can't blame me.

I wanted to keep all this from my parents because if they learn about the happenings to me in school, Mum would harass me. And it's really irritating.

Counselors should respect their clients' privacy and welfare. Only with their clients' permission should they contact their parents. There are others like me who simply want to keep their parents in the dark all because of one main reason: we wouldn't want our parents to worry. For me, not so much of that. Rather, I didn't want to hear Mum nag at me every five minutes. It's enough hearing her ask me to do stuff like take a shower, do my homework, or otherwise get off the PC, shit like that. And when the counselor calls her, added to her list is the same question over and over again: what's up with me in school that has to drive Mrs. Veloo to call her? It's bullshit.

I ain't gonna trust Mrs. Veloo anymore. Well, in the very least, not as much as I used to.

I'm gonna go for Mr. Suhairi, Miss Lee, Miss Ho, Mdm. Yasmin, not to mention or forget Miss Lazaroo, and of course JANE.

Please write about your thoughts, of whether counselors should seek permission from their clients before contacting their fellows or similar, in the Comments section. If only I could see her, LOL.

We didn't do much when we got there, and it was really tough getting the oldies to Bedok Stadium (we went there as part of our walk, lol). I couldn't even understand what the physiotherapist nor the oldies were saying!

But it was a pleasure helping and interacting with them, really :)

I kinda pity them to be honest. One had his left shin and foot amputated for some reason and another had a serious respiratory problem, from which I could tell by looking at her respiratory tube. Ah, that's just unsightly.

And just as we were on our way back to the center, Miss Lazaroo took a snapshot of me -_- But she smiled! Did I look that cute smiling to her camera?

And when we were done, we went back. But I was lost immediately. I don't know shit about Bedok.

Guess what? Miss Lazaroo offered to let me in with her on a taxi ride! And she paid for me :) What a sweet teacher. And so we chatted during the trip and next thing we know we're in Tampines Street 12 which is where TPSS is situated.

So I got in a 28 after I reached the bus stop, and (unusually for double-decker buses) stayed in the first floor for no apparent reason.

I made the right choice! Why? Well, you remember that I mentioned way back in April 2005 that I'd met Miss Lim while at the second deck of a 17 that passed by the stop just before my destination stop? I didn't manage to get off in time, right? Right.

LOL, I didn't even expect that I'd have been proud to have stayed at the first deck because I saw Miss Chee and Miss Toh (haven't I seen them like last year at the same stop too? *chuckle*) waiting there. So I got off at that same stop and said hi.

Then I asked Miss Chee whether I could go back into CZ and she said yes, I could, anytime!

Well apparently her answer was too vague. Because the security guard at the bus bay near the CZ canteen snapped back "no" when I politely asked whether ex-students could go in. I didn't really care whether the security guard let me in but I was kinda irritated at how rude he was. Besides, they changed last year's guard to this guy.

As last year's guy did, he told me that I had to make an appointment with the teacher first, visit CZ on the meeting day and have him/her pick me up. Bummer.

Well, I have to get Miss Lim to meet up with me some time, no?

Right, that'll be one of my prime missions.

ok im going nw gbai d00dz

So I made a new friend in class

And that's Hazel.

One of my new classmates in 3E2, yeah.

She's a nice girl, really. And she wears braces, lol.

This morning on my way to school I got on a 34 that was almost about to leave. I smiled at the bus captain just as I got on, then made my way to the back door where I always stand if at first glance I don't find a free seat inside. Then I looked back and... I saw Hazel and she saw me. We smiled at each other and she offered me a seat right next to her. Wow. So anyway I hastily took my seat and we chatted a bit. <3 34, indeed.

She and I got off the bus and crossed via overhead bridge, together... aaaaand it started to rain for who knows what. Hazel shared her umbrella with me; how nice indeed.

And then we entered school together. There was a rainbow strip: blue, red, yellow, green (and green was longest).

I only used red, green and blue. The green ink expanded really quickly and it was only after five minutes that red started emerging, part of it mixing with green to produce yellow. And tomorrow... I have Chemistry SPA make-up class and after that it's the Computer Enrichment Programme which teaches us video editing with WMM (boo!) and web design with Dreamweaver (w00t!). It's gonna be fun tomorrow I'm telling you.

But it's a pity: I'm returning my PHP & MySQL for Dummies book to the library today.

The Members section wasn't too good. The code could be much improved or even rewritten. But oh well, it wasn't published after PHP 5 arrived.

Guess what? Today Miss Lazaroo said the way I laugh is very cute.

How nice of her. In all honesty, I DID NOT EXPECT THAT.

I like it, but I seriously didn't anticipate that she'd say it. Thanks Miss Lazaroo, your the best <3

So yeah, Wednesday today was swell.

First scare of the year

It was a moth.

One of those small brown ones.

Those that fly indescribably fast.

And one landed in my classroom moving around on the floor across the classroom.

The boys disturbed it.

And he took it.

He stood up and brought it out of the class.

And then turned back, moth still in his fingertips. Awesome :)

And then when I get back to class I get this consent form about some computer enrichment program. w00t, designing web pages with Dreamweaver and editing videos with Windows Movie Maker (which actually is rather mediocre I might say)! <3

It's happening on the next three Thursdays, and my CCA day's switched to Wednesday. I can't reiterate that enough times. It's never enough. no srsly

Wait: there WERE a few exciting things that happened. Let's summarize.

Mdm. Yasmin is no longer teaching my class, switching to Miss Lazaroo who's the most adorable teacher ever other than Miss Lim <3 I'll miss you, Mdm. Yasmin.

The first day of CCA kicked ass despite not being able to go to Lab C. #

I've been confirmed to have undertaken the task of developing and marking up my CCA's web site. Cheers.

My PC has been extremely tame this year, thanks :) #

Miss Lazaroo started the TPSS 3E2 blog (I'm in that class in case you're wondering). #

I found my copy of Worms Armageddon <3

I discovered my brother's blog after Ammarah linked me to a blog which actually belongs to Esther (who I just discovered is from TPSS, LOL!), lol. I'm not linking to theirs without their permission; tough luck.

That's it really.

I'll expand on some of the above sentences.

The first day of CCA kicked ass despite not being able to go to Lab C.
It's awesome because we still had our CCA time.

Why do so many people hate being in a CCA? The common excuse is that it wastes their time. Our schools provide us with a wide array of CCAs to choose from. If your school has nice people, you can change your CCA once or twice if you picked the wrong one. I dunno if there's a risk of losing CCA points though.

But really, if you have a CCA, good for you because a CCA aims to enrich your knowledge. Your not gonna enjoy life staying home or going to the same mall over and over, you know. Like me. I stick at home everyday and look like a dumbass tramp everywhere I go now -_-

CCA is serious business. Don't waste your time escaping CCA, simply because you'll be badly recognized next time as a lazy moron and you'll lose CCA points to poor attendance. You picked your CCA. Live with it, and love it. Or die trying *cough*

CCA is fun. At least for me ;)

My PC has been extremely tame this year, thanks :)
Seriously. I can't say that enough times either.

{{{{{My PC}}}}}

Miss Lazaroo started the TPSS 3E2 blog.
Lol, well the purpose of this blog is for MY class's information. But you can see clearly that blogs have just earned yet another purpose :)

Miss Lazaroo is the best <3

Well that's about it I guess. Looks sixteen but is actually only two. I didn't bring him back from the past. He's a new guy. Since 2005.

3 on 2, also quoted from 2's NOVALISTIC Forum signature:

My arch nemesis is the other, evil conscience. 2. The dumb moron who keeps complaining that the downtown bar doesn't have enough women for anything social. The intangible and invisible alcoholic mean anti-vodka Winchester smoker. The drunken nemesis.

So anyway, I got cursed by nausea. Yes, that shitty feeling you get that makes you wanna let it all out through yer mouth.

Guess what? I AM NOT BULIMIC. I get that feeling but never end up coughing anything up/out/whatever. And I only get this feeling between meals. Other times... I feel fine. Nothing to worry about except when it's time to have a meal.

It's only slightly deterred me from work.

Oh and did I mention school was great? I'm not used to my new attire and growth, but I'm happy. Because those bastard bullies don't seem to bother much anymore. Unless God made me develop some sickness that would unfold all of a sudden.

In other news, I've set up a test server on my computer. NOVALISTIC 3.0 may be up later this year... I'm still a PHP n00b. Wait, isn't this supposed to be at my weblog? Yeah, I know. I wrote it here to let you guys know for fun :)

Happy birthday to me!

That's right folks, as of now I'm officially 15! Please note that the above list will no longer be updated after January 6.

Girls are the best, in case you didn't notice I listed FAR MORE GIRLS than boys. None of the boys got me a thing either :L

This is the best birthday I've ever had. Here's what happened:

Well finally Mum wished me a happy birthday unlike last year. What's even better that this time she did so as a wake-up call, LOL! Thanks Mum :)

So I'm on my way to school and 2 and 3 pop up and effortlessly shout, HAPPY 15TH BIRTHDAY, 1! But I still love them XD

In school, I spread to all my teachers about it and got wishings from them <3 I didn't have a terrible school day, it was fantastic and I didn't get bullied or such.

After school, I made my way to the Tampines MRT Station and waited half an hour for Nicole. Tri came and waited with me because Nicole was getting a little present for Tri too. Turns out Snow came with Nicole as well... but she didn't wish me a happy birthday. Only Nicole did :L

Guess what? I only saw Nicole and Snow for a total of 16 seconds before saying goodbye to her (and... Snow) and making my way to the Tampines Regional Library. I didn't wanna waste her time by getting her to follow me to the library to find the book I need, so I let it off. Off she went. As usual, her rate of disappearance from sight... is shocking... :O

After a while of searching I couldn't find what I needed. The book is a PHP/MySQL book titled Sams: Teach Yourself PHP and MySQL but I couldn't find it so I went for the next bet (and one from a series I'm interested in but haven't read before) which was PHP & MySQL for Dummies. That's right it was a Dummies book! XD

I'm home blogging. Of course. And I'm happy <3

Thanks all friends of mine for making my birthday the best ever, especially Nicole <3

EDIT: It appears Raine was in fact giving me a surprise! Thanks Raine! <3

Back to school, morons

I'm still in Super Diamond Mood (aka Prime Diamond Mood, this is the unbreakbly best mood). Hey, how many days late have I already been?

Working on a Clockmas Flash as we speak.

Happy birthday to Nicole! <3

Out of the unlucky 13th year of life, into a fresh new FOURTEEN! <3 <3 <3

I have myself to thank for keeping my faith in her... I have never been mad at her for anything, and neither has she been at me! She's also said (proudly and with a smile) that my attitude has changed. It's a great milestone to have set! I will change for the better, and I've gotta be more sociable too, as everyone else has said. I need someone to talk to about what's going on in my mind though... a counselor or Nicole herself or even baby Mabel would be perfect for this. I don't wanna talk to my parents about things 'cause I don't have enough of this thing you call "faith" in my parents. They'll probably say the same things over and over again.

Again I have to say this: Nicole is the one who has bolstered my self-esteem the MOST ever, and I have her to thank for this.

It's great I am able to return this kindness with a surprise Flash movie! That's right, I once said I canceled this not long ago, yes. I did, but a couple weeks later, secretly revived the project XD

The movie isn't too half-assed (well I didn't have much time) but I'm proud I got off my back to bother to work on something! :D <3 However it's not available on Newgrounds, but I've put it up at the NOVALISTIC Flash Cinema and only temporarily. After today I will be taking it down. If you wanna see what I can do even after days of procrastination and more time wasted on fixing the graphics themselves, you may watch - I'm not stopping anybody 'cause I'm all high today! And this great mood is all, as a friend, on behalf of Nicole! XD

I'm currently in Prime Diamond Mood or Super Diamond Mood, which is unbreakable, meaning I can NOT be aggravated or depressed by virtually anything from now till the next 12am! And probably for the next few days XD

Once again,

HAPPY 14TH BIRTHDAY TO NICOLE, THE MOST WONDERFUL FRIEND I'VE EVER KNOWN! <3

AzureAllies (MapleSEA) is now history

Thaaaaat's right. Today (tonight) is the very day we (well... a handful of us) gathered in MapleSEA's Free Market to shoot one final (and our only ever) guild photo (gee, that's a lot of bracket comments).

I don't have a copy of it yet but I'm sure our guildmate will be distributing the photo to us all.

Well, that's it for AzureAllies. Long live the blue cross shield of AzureGuild! <3 (will be putting up a picture of the shield icon later I guess)

Nothing much else happened today. The Coming is on its way... arriving in three days from now.

OK, time for some life lessons!

You know it's times like this that make you feel like thinking back into the merry, merry oh-so-foolishly-spent ticks of the clock that've gone by in the past so few yet long, long years. The effort, the time, the love, all that you've given from... the best of yourself that you've shown to the people around you. It feels great. You get a really inexplainable sense of splendid triumph. All that you've done has paid off. Well you may have failed or ‘died’ (lol) trying but does it even fucking matter? You tried! You fucking tried! As that merry old proverb goes,

Failure is one's first step to success.

I succeeded in my first try, but hey, there's no need to feel that proud of it. I could've flunked things and discovered something new out of this mistake, or whatever shit that's supposed to mean. Ah I'm writing too damn much now.

Like many bloggers and diary-keepers, I write at night, so I can chronicle (lol) everything for the day in one go. It's a great feeling if you can remember everything that's happened on the particular day. You don't have to run back to your blog every hour telling the world some very simple or pointless sentences every time, overloading the Blog*Spot servers and limiting your own access because "it's so God-damned slow".

Pretty much like real diaries - you don't have to clog up pages. You can just write continually, avoiding the threat to most printed work of blank spaces lying all over the place, and probably end up with a day of, like even twenty fewer pages than if you scribbled a dinky pathetic sentence every hour. Think of how much $money you can save by saving so many pages every day, should you!

Well it's getting really late now. I'd better turn in; like a couple nights before, had a dumb tummyache and now it's back. Lucky, this isn't as bad as the past one.

Broke a record

You wanna know what record I broke?

Well... not any big Guinness World Record, that's for sure - I'm too incapable of that kinda shit. I broke a personal record. Today I changed my MSN Messenger display name a total of over thirty times! And recorded more than ten of them into my list XD It's like 260 or 270 in my list now, heh :)

I called Amber again, and sure enough I'm still too damn shy to even talk on the phone now... *sigh* I guess one day in another year in the future I'll be a social little bastard once again. I wonder when it'll happen, though. I've been behind the PC for so long. Guess it's my fault... bah, it stinks big fuck.

A little note unrelated to life but to this blog... I'll be moving posts in my other blog that talked about reality to this blog. I'm not letting my weblog be a redundant repository/archive of my life... it just isn't appropriate.

BoltChronicles!

As it goes in the blog title, this blog will chronicle my life. Yes, this will be the blog that's about nothing but real life! I'm gonna work on a totally separate blog layout when I'm free, but for now I'll use a Blogger default template. Go XHTML!

I was planning a series called BoltChronicles, but I decided to keep it undone till I'm free. I may do it, I dunno.

Since this is my life blog, I'm anonymizing all other real people if I'm blogging about a bad event. If it's a great moment in my life I won't anonymize anyone.

So anyway today I called Amber on the phone. Ahhh, she sounded so cute, that little Amber. I was kinda shy though, yeah. At least we did talk :D It was quite a while, and despite being pointless, it was fun.

An hour or so before this post, I kinda got a fucking screamer from whoever sent my friend a PowerPoint slide show (.pps) that she then sent to me. T'was a Chinese story which I don't understand at all, so I scoured through the pages. Click by click...

And the slideshow presented me with a scream that didn't nudge me, but also a demoness picture that scared the fuck outta me. It's just shit.

Lucky I span my chair around or I'd have lost balance and fell off the chair. Another reason why I span my chair was of course to get the screen offa my sight. Ran to Dad's room and had him end the slideshow and remove the file.

It's a .pps, and I'm sure there are decompilers for it somewhere...

God forbid those bored mother fuckers be such tabby wussies!
